Aubaine Archive

Terms of use

Effective 21 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Aubaine Archive (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What the site is

Aubaine Archive is a free search of vintage and secondhand clothing listed for sale by other marketplaces and shops ("sellers"). We don't sell, hold, ship, inspect or authenticate anything, and we are not a party to any sale. When you buy, you buy from the seller, on the seller's and marketplace's terms, and any question about payment, delivery, returns or refunds is between you and them.

2. Listing information

Titles, photos, prices, sizes, conditions and dates come from sellers' own listings. They may be wrong, out of date or already sold. Prices are converted to US dollars at a daily rate, and estimated totals (such as duties and shipping to the US) are rough guides, not quotes. Labels we show are what the seller states; we don't verify authenticity. Always check the listing on the seller's site before you buy.

3. Affiliate links

Some links to sellers are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. They're labelled "Affiliate link". Commissions never decide which pieces we show or how they rank.

4. Using the site

You may use the site for your own personal shopping. You agree not to:

The site isn't intended for children under 13.

5. Who owns what

Listing photos and descriptions belong to the sellers and photographers who made them and are shown so you can find and visit the listing. The site's design, text, selections (such as The Edit) and software belong to us. If you think something on the site infringes your rights, see Takedown.

6. What you send us

If you report a problem, email us or suggest a correction, you let us use what you send to run and improve the site. Don't send anything confidential.

7. Email

If you sign up for an email such as The Edit, you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. See Privacy.

8. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and we make no promise about any piece or seller.

9. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a purchase you make from a seller, a seller's conduct, or errors in listings. Our total liability to you for any claim about the site is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

11. Changes and suspension

We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. If we can't, disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New Haven County, Connecticut, though either of us may use small-claims court where it applies. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law of where you live.

13. General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
